Commanders,
We know that for core mining, the size and shape of the asteroid determines the type and quantity of the contents, but is the same true for laser mining, or is that purely an RNG mechanic?
I was out mining Painite the other night and thought I had started to spot a trend. I then mined again last night and started to spot the exact same trend as the night previous.
What I noticed regarding Painite laser mining, is the asteroids were of roughtly medium size, elliptical in shape, with streaks/bands of red/brown color. I also noticed that more often than not, they were also the asteroids not rotating, or hardly rotating.
Has anyone documented these characteristics for laser mining, and was anything found?
