Asteroids disappearing - Never had this issue before today.

I've been playing for over a year and have never seen this problem. Was just mining the same rings all week and now I can't get near an asteroid at Colonia 4. Tried turning the video settings up and down. Have always run at the ultra level. Moving down to high or increasing/decreasing the view distances doesn't seem to do anything.

Had something similar on PS4 a couple of weeks ago - asteroid would disappear as you approached it, then reappear as you back off. Might still be an issue but I'm done with mining for the moment.

Try doing a Steam" Verify Game Files", it could be that you are missing some LOD files for the asteroids as you get closer to them

Not using steam. I just saw a newer NVidia so I guess I'll try that. Just updated a last month.

Seems that you did not stick to the space properly. Maybe you've heard about issues that station/res running away... This is the same issue. Please note how fast asteroids move, this means that the ring rotates under you and without you.
I've seen that. That's not new.

Stick to the space? Don't follow. Same problem moving forward through the middle of the ring as it appears when flying above. I can never reach any asteroid. This isn't the same as the different ring rotation speeds. I have been mining this for a week and never saw this problem. I was able to go to a different planet ring and this problem was not present was able to approach and mine without incident. I could do a scan of an asteroid at Colonia 4 and see it's resources glow as the asteroid disappears leaving a ghost of subsurface and surface resources. Maybe that planet is just bugged now from shadow updates.

could try deleting the gpuworktable.xml just in case itsa memory cache thing (don't worry the file will be regenerated)
