I know the devs are big sci-fi fans. I've been reading the script from Blakes 7 titled "Star One," where alien invaders from Andromeda made their way to this galaxy. The show had some clues to the location of Star One:
1) An isolated White dwarf star.
2) A system with a single habitable planet.
3) This location was presumable at a point nearest to the Andromeda galaxy.

I really need some help location this spot.....there might be something interesting there.

well our galaxy is rotating, so you need to know the date that this star is closest to Andromeda and then compensate for the rotation to figure out what direction you should go.

On a galactic scale, a century or two shouldn't make a tone of difference.

Stars rotate around the galaxy at 250 million years per cycle. The star is likely the same.

true, still i have read sci-fi novels that has been taking place billions of years into the future.
but not knowing the novel in question i should probably not reply to this topic.

I suppose you should start exploring at the rim of our galaxy disc facing towards Andromeda. There may be just a few million starsystems for you to check out. Happy exploring.

If we assume the background galaxy on this screenshot map is Andromeda (it doesn't look like it to me, but lest assume)..

Then "Star One" if its ever in game (I doubt), will be somewhere on the outer rim of the New Outer Arm, beyond the Formidine Rift.

It would be cool if FD have put some special locations from old Sci-fi shows and movies in the game, but I highly doubt they did.
