Ahh, finally there. My 'Conda fitted out with 7A Prismatic Shield and a run right over to Lei for a Lv5 upgrade. Tasty. I feel much safer. Had him touch up the boosters while I was hanging about. Wish there was a "clean/replace the canopy glass" while otherwise kicking the landing gear option. Heavy suckers, but with the boosted Power Plant everything runs without a problem with power to spare. Can't quite afford the Military Grade Armor yet, but that is coming. I really want the Mirrored, but that is priced well beyond my means. The Grind was worth it. Now to earn back the 120mil I just dropped on the shields and the Reinforced Alloy (stopped and had that buffed up a bit too.) Back to the grind...with a grin.

Pretty sure if you click to down into the repair options you can repair the canopy glass without doing everything else if that's what you want to - good luck with the grind!

Forgo the Mirrored hulls, they lose too much protection from the other damage.
Military is your best bet when you have the coin.

I think I will take your advice and make the next upgrade to the military armor. Decided to head to Sagittarius A, so I am about 6.5kly out right now. Not like last stab at it with a viper. It's nice to drive the living-room couch with all the comforts for the big round trip. Still wish we could get the scratches out of the canopy glass (is 100% and yeah, you can repair it.) Really would like to "knock the bugs" off of it. Bright sunlight shows all the scratches. Now about those Cheetos stains all over the bridge...
I don't know, I've found mirrored with a lvl5 Kinetic resistant mod works a treat. Combined with heavy duty hull reinforcements and the new module reinforcements makes your hull all but impenetrable.

You keep any shields you've purchased, but once you leave the power, you won't be able to buy any more.
Buy one of each class and store them
