Jest got my Imperial clipper well happy only draw back is the jump range but you cant have everything. Off to do some rare trading and bounty hunting along the way.

Fuel scoop is your friend there. Bounty hunting in it? I dunno, but be warned though... repair costs on a clipper are huge..... and I'm running B shields. A Class shields are 16 million and you want 'em in a Clipper.

I say bounty hunting more likely hitting nav points to a system and while waiting for rare to replenish i got B shields at the min

I'm doing fine in D7 shields, haven't dropped more than 1 ring.

Really not hugely impressed with my Clipper:
I went for a bash in a RES, a terminal sc with a roid cost me 2 million. Back to my Cobra for pewpew from now on.
Cant land on outposts so no good for missions
Jump and Fuel tank make it a mare to explore with
That leaves trading. An excellent armoured trader... once you find a good route with L Pads

Quite sure I dont want to grind up to a Python. Maybe an Asp and a Vulture (or FDL) might be the ships for me.
