"At least 4 new ships this year"

My tiny brain kicking into speculation mode as it is a slow day waiting for an Amazon delivery...
FD told us "at least 4 new ships this year", we know of 3, and they all have good bits attached...
It is the "at least" bit tickling my cerebellum... What if, as has been suggested (mainly by me) one of the new ships is the Cobra V, but as a 5th "free to everyone" 40th birthday gift, rather than an Arghs early access baby?

Your guess is as god as anyone's at this time. The time between T8 and Mandalay has been shortened compared to the time between P2 and T8, maybe they'll shorten the time until the 4th even more ? Release more than one at once ? Only one thing appears to be fairly certain currently. You can only have at least 4 ships this year if you pay ARGHS for at least one or two.

I don't have an issue with that, if I pay for 4 ships (because I won't pay for one that doesn't benefit me in some way) that is fine, it'll be around the same I'd have spent on cosmetics in a year, and I'm not buying any of those since they were priced out of my perception of value.

I choose to believe that will be the case.

If it turns out not to be true I shall be starting a post slagging FDev for not delivering on their promises again! 😆

Rather than for everyone which seems a little too non controversial how about for everyone not entitled to the mkIV. Much more forum fun.

I would even add an additional "take no prisoners" condition:

It will be free, but only available to those who have 16,000 ARX on their accounts on the day of the anniversary.
No need to spend ARX on it, just have them.

This gives me a vague memory of physics class, something about DeBroglie wavelength and if you passed slowly enough through a doorframe you would diffract! Maybe that's what's happened (or I am completely inventing a memory :D)

Unfortunately for the OP, it has already been found obvious that the 4th ship will be a c5 FSD medium ship, optimized for SCO, designed with the luxury traveler's needs in mind. I believe the name was obviously found to be the "Narwhal".

The more you know...
