Well, it certainly took a while, but I finally made it to Duke and was able to purchase the last ship to complete my collection (so far):

Along with all the others...at least until the patch adds the Dolphin and I have another one to add to the collection.

Here's hoping they NEVER add ships with a rank requirement again!

I figure I need to spend roughly Cr800m to turn a Corvette into the ship I really want it to be. [sad]

Amen! After getting the corvette I started up the empire ladder and just can't do it... when I run out of gas doing CGs and engineering I work on the rank a little. Figure I'll have the cutter by 2020 or so...

Oh, I only buy ships when I can fully fit them for what I want them to do and have enough mats/stored modules to have the ship engineered from the get-go. My Cutter is fitted out as a trader/CG transport, and my Corvette is an 800mil monster. :cool:

So, let me fix my statement. I don't want them adding ships with a higher rank requirement than the Cutter/Vette... :D

Don't get complacent yet. Season 3 will introduce the Thargoid Probeship. And you will need Exalted Broodfriend rank to buy it.

Nah, the chrome Corvette paint was for sale in the store over Christmas. I need the rank to buy the ship itself, and just mentioned it being chrome because the OP's screenshot showed chrome.
