ATC folk quieter now?

Is it just me or are the station/platform ATC folk a lot quieter than they used to be?

oh is the old sound bug back again its been a while since they put that one back in...………………….
I predict a patch saying some atc sound issues fixed...…...

What is even more annoying to me is how quiet the "safe to disengage" notification "ping" is now - I feel like one of Pavlov's dogs who doesn't notice dinner is served without the bell.
