its a great thing. but what is the effect from it????

i mean in real life, some people may forget to bring enough money, because they were in hurry at the morning driving to the park.

But whats the effect in Planet Coaster? Why they don't give all guest enough money before entering the Park??

Whats the use of an ATM? just cosmetic?

Realism mate. Almost all parks I know have them. You don't always bring enough money. :)
Would be weird if everyone would bring 300 euros with them. There are different kinds of guests and different kinds of groups. Some bring more cash than others. Just my thoughts.
Very cool feature. Happy to see it. :)

People will have realistic amounts of money with them - which will make families having more money than for example a teen group. However, as soon as cash limits the amount of activities, the happiness of the guests will decide, whether they go home or get some more cash from an ATM. Thing is, you do pay for rides with cash, not by use of any bank / credit card, so for realism purposes, it's quite a big deal (and makes sense to me as well)

Some people will need more money.

its for me not functional! maybe if they have to pay fee for atm then there would be a management behind it. i mean who decides that the one family has more money in the pocket than the other ones? in real life we have algorithm like forget, late, hurry, etc. all these things. this is a game.

i hope there is a connectivity between an atm and other things like marketing or so to make it sense to place it. Like if you use our ATM then you can get special offers.

All you guys just say, hmmm maybe they have not enough money in the pocket. not everything they implement must be hyped and loved.

like i said. every guest should come with enough money. no one interest why the guest gots 1000 dollar in the pocket. its a game.

The idea stated from the live stream was pretty simple.

They will all have random amounts of monies (you make the reason why if you want) and they come and ride stuff but lets suggest that you add a new ride and now they need more cash because they really want to go ride it and they haven't got enough with them, trip to ATM. Or say they spend it all on drinks and food because it's hot and they have walked so far in your park and now they don't have enough cash to go on all the rides they wanted because you have made them walk and buy other things, they will go to the ATM to make sure they can go on the ride.

They are little bits of management I actually like to see. So it reads into the functionality of how the guests work with interaction of the park and what you are the manager are doing. Yes it would be interesting to then add an option to charge to take more cash out also and see guest reactions to that.

There is no real reason to find this an issue I don't think if it's not for you though.

Regards,

Adam

I think it looks great but on the video it appears to be a very strange ATM as it seemed to give out $11.27 - I've never known an ATM to give out such random amounts with change, only the smallest note available (In the UK it's rare for an ATM to even give out £5 notes - it's usually multiples of 10's)

I do hope that this gets changed at some point, otherwise it's going to really upset my OCD whenever I see it! [haha]

In the US most ATM's give out multiples of $20, but of course that is Planet Coaster money in the game, so their system probably works different. [big grin]

Instead of people getting out of the park when they are out of money, they can decide to get more money out of the ATM.
Guests will do this if the like the park, if not, they will get out of it and dont come back.
Guest also will spend more money if they are happy, so they will need an ATM faster.
Its a little bit of management to keep your guest happy so they can spend more money and you get more out of it.

Exactly this same thing existed also in RCT3.

Like they said in the stream, it stops people from just leaving when they have run out of money. Park management will decide whether guests feel they want to spend more money to stay in the park longer, or go home. This is another addition to the whole park management system, which already looks very comprehensive, and I can't wait to try it all out.

@Palaber1984 - personally I hate realism in games I mean we have floating islands so who cares about realism? as for the ATMs did you not play RCT3? the ATM helps keep guests in your park longer so they dont run out of cash. Guests spend months/years in a park rather than hours so the money system is completely UNrealistic [wink] its a game and the ATM is just an extra way to make more profits in this GAME... the slogan "simulation evolved" is dumb they should change it to "creativity unlimited"
