I was flying at the ground at optimum maneuvering power (blue part of throttle thingy) and my ship was wobbling.
This is stupid.
I know FD did this ship wobble thing explicitly to make ground attacking harder/more challenging. That's the only reason. There is no other reason for this. There is no explanation in physics that can account for this wobble. I know FD said it's cause the thrusters are "too weak", but for a company that prides itself on it's ED flight model, this is embarrassing. If the thrusters were too weak, our ships would just fall to the ground and never get off planet.
Fine.
If FD really wants to be stupid about this, fine. But now that we have two separate modes, can we get rid of the wobble when our ships are in exploration mode. Even better, can we have it so the ships maintain orientation near planets when the throttle is at zero?
FD can turn the wobble back on for combat. You can even make up another stupid reason such as the weaponry makes the thrusters stupid, I mean, weaker because power usage or something. Problem solved! All the players that want to explore and enjoy the scenery in ED can have a blissful, physics appropriate experience, while anyone who is engaged in ground combat can have their "challenging" gameplay.
