Atmospheric Scattering

This is kind of a weird question but I was wondering if anyone knows what algorithm they are using for atmospheric scattering on planets? Hopefully not Ni****a which looks really ugly from certain angles. The best looking implementation imo is Eric Brunetons method which is used in Space Engine and Outerra.

A nice scattering effect is huge for making planetary landings look good so I hope they really nail it.
