Newcomer / Intro Attacked by police??? WHY

Yes, by the feds I mean the Federal Security Services i.e. The Federation. The fine was owed to the feds. I couldn't go to a fed station to pay it because they would have blown me out of the sky when they scanned me. There is an option to pay your federation fines at independent stations.
you sure?
I paid all bounties in station without problems. if you would try to undock without paying then you would be blow up by station

I'm an explorer - not a bounty hunter. I've mapped out over a hundred unknown systems and been jumped ... well over a dozen times.

A few tips: Pirates have friends. Their friends often have stations. If you shoot someone's friend - they are liable to try and blow your head off and sure as hell won't let you dock at their "independent" station.

I've docked at maybe 12 different "independent" stations, after having dodged interdictions on the way there. I avoid shooting the locals, even if they are jerks trying to blow me up. Simply put, I like accessing the stations and even they won't try and shoot you at the station.

Be careful who you pick on and get the hell out of those systems after a fight. Go a couple jumps away before trying to dock up. I *HAVE* blown up a few who've jumped me and, as an explorer, I tend to be "way the hell out there" so play it smart and "change neighborhoods" when you shoot someone.

No, I'm not sure.

I am sure that I had a Wanted tag.

I am sure that when clicking on Federation stations in the System View they also displayed a Wanted tag.

I am sure that when clicking on an Independent station in the System view they didn't display Wanted tags.

I didn't dare go to the Federation station.

I haven't had any issues with Independents. All of my issues are with The Federation. They are a bit harder to get away from than a local Independent faction.

To clarify, I start shooting at a Wanted ship. The ship is wanted by the Federation (as it's them who eventually pay the bounty to me - if I survive). I am then targeted by the Federal Security Services. It doesn't make any sense.

This is why I mostly venture in Empire glaxy, those guys are awesome, never ever cheat you , they can be trusted, reaaaally! :p

To be honest I'm a little scared of the Empire. I've come across Imperial Clippers on 3 separate occasions and they open up on me and pwn me without provocation. It's not my fault I was born in Federation space.
