Attacked whilst save and exit.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Was on a long 180Lyr flight (solo mode), halfway through needed the loo, came out of hyperspace, cleared the star, no one else around, throttled back, pressed esc, then save and exit, confirmed YES, screen went dim, dashed to the bog, came back 2 mins later to find my ship being attacked by an NPC, hull down to 8%, BOOM. My upgraded T6 gone with 80+ tons of rares on board. OK had insurance, but all those rares and time invested gone.

Gutted!

Wait, you came back to see your ship under attack? Sounds like you didn't go back into solo mode and therefore never truly made it to the main menu.

The real question here might be, are you alone in your house? Maybe someone messing with you.

That sucks though! Here's what I do: Leave the star a bit then zero throttle and drop out of super cruise. Full speed in a random direction and I think no NPC will ever come near you. At least, in my experience. This is how I take breaks. If this isn't safe someone please warn me!
