Newcomer / Intro Attacking Stations

So, I was googling about players raiding stations. I couldn't find anything. That or just my google skills sucks.

Has anyone ever tried it? Gather a large group of players with anacondas and etc and attack to attempt to destroy a station?

It was tried in at least one "Betapocalypse".
Stations appear to have infinite hitpoints.

I'm at Sellers City in Ehecatl. It's a Civilian Outpost. The Federation Navy has been attacking it for the last 1/2 hr with corvettes, condors and lots of other ships.
I've seen them take out some of the outlying defensive guns but they're losing a lot of ships.
I'm Green to both sides so I've been landing here on a nice trade-loop. Neither side has shot at me but I'm wondering if it's possible for the NPC's to do what Players can't,
and destroy this outpost.

F12 if you're running it in Steam. Print Screen button on your keyboard otherwise.

The Battle is still going.
The Feds keep losing ships and the base keeps putting up new defensive guns.

I bought the game from Steam, but using both the F12 & Print Screen buttons don't do anything. :[
The folder for them is empty. Tried both a couple times. :[

F10 if you're in open.
Alt+F10 in solo for high res.
pictures are saved in your picture library, in the "Frontier Development" folder.

Is F10 disabled in RES? I've been using it a lot, but today it wasn't working and the only difference I can tell it that I was at a resource extraction site targeting pirates

Too bad you can't get a shot of your ship blasting another.
Tried the Secret camera thing (L-Ctrl+L-Alt+Spc) but only useful for getting an eyeful of your ship.

Stations cannot be destroyed.

Almost everyone tries to destroy a station at least once and has done in every incarnation of this game going right back to the 1980s. Can't be done though.

Except in the final mission of the original Elite (Well, OK, the PC version) when the Thargoids captured a station and you had to destroy it.
Success meant promotion to the rank of Archangel.

LOL.. When I played the original Elite, I spent a lot of time working my butt off to get the docking computer.
Would play relaxing music as it automatically went into the proper rotation to fit that small opening in the base.
Unfortunately soon after I'd get blown up and have to do it all over again. :[
Needless to say I didn't progress too far. :[
