Auctions- another 'why not' suggestion

Just another thought that popped into mind, imagine if you could auction off modules and even ships to players on an open market?

here is how it works;

-new tab is added under contacts. (Auctioneer)

-You may choose items and ships to sell from a list.

-You will be given numerous confirmation messages to make sure you don't accidently auction something.

-you can withdraw an item up for auction if you change your mind by paying a small fee

-you can name your price on any item or ship, there will be a cap at over 200% of value of item/ship sold (preventing newbie sidewinder pilots selling pulse lasers for 3 Billion credits to rich friends :D ) this cap accommodates for engineer mods as they are usually significantly better than other versions. you can sell items for as low as you want however. this cap however can be lifted by other bids.

-items up for auction can be viewed by players down to every detail.

-Items are displayed for 3 days.

- every player can only place one bid at a time. but can raise it for as much as they like.

-Once sold, funds are transferred back into owners account (with a small auctioneers fee)

-Opens up an opportunity to sell unused stored engineer modules, creates player interactivity, can even be used as a form of career (Modifying ships to sell them specifically for profit) helps create a unique way of selling ships other than shipyard. gives other players the opportunity to use an item that otherwise would of been lost and wasted. can help players bypass the engineering process if they choose to buy through auction.

Thoughts?

This would enable a real world market to exist for in game assets. Something that Frontier have consistently said they wish to avoid.
