Audio - What do you reckon

I don't care too much for the in-game music. Turned it off after a couple of hours. Good quality but poor longevity compared to <insert music source of choice>...
However, the ambient music-like sounds in the system and galaxy maps, and the general sound effects throughout the game are simply BRILLIANT.
That crackle as your FSD begins the shunt into witch-space... awesome.

Would really love to see a meld of current style tracks and classical tracks.
I actually only keep a Docking Computer because of the short 10 secs of classic music you get
(Ps. Wish it started as soon as the computer is active and didn't cut off when you land and finish the tune)
Perhaps there could also be an option in the settings for players to choose between current and classical music (or select mix of both).
Overall, I like the musical score in ED though, but I do sorely miss the classics.
I would also love to see a lot more tracks added over time. With a game that you spend so many hours playing the music quickly has become repetitive. Its one thing I liked about Eve Online, was the vast number of tracks .. each major updated added a few more. Would be good if that was the case with ED too, so each time a decent update comes out we get a taste of a few more tracks to make the game feel fresh again.
Would be a great idea for a competition with the community too! I am sure there are some talented musicians out there! Or some sort of submission process where the community can offer ones to be added to the game.

I'd say the audio in this game is very good. Especially the sound effects. The music is fine. You'll tire of any piece of music if you hear it enough. In that regard, the music in Elite holds up quite well. I'm glad to see that the Blue Danube Waltz plays when you use the docking computer too. Not that I use a docking computer anymore, but still.
I do miss an onboard sound system, though. I'd like to be able to play mp3 and streamable formats for podcasts and net radio. Preferably with the option to lower the volume automatically in combat. Perhaps as a buyable module for a bit of immersion.
