On behalf of the Galactic Mapping team, thanks to all those who submitted names for the Route to Jaques. Almost 100 entries have been whittled down to 8. The poll to find the winning name will remain open until Wednesday 27th July - the day Convoy 1 of the expedition out to Jaques is due to begin arriving at Camp Baatuta in the Omega Nebula.

The Route to Jaques :
Speculating that something positive with Jaques is in the works, the Galactic Mapping team has produced a travel route to and from Jaques. This historic route takes the traveler though some interesting and varied points of interest, both on the outbound journey, and the return leg.
The idea behind the travel route is twofold - firstly to mark and record this historic shipping lane on the maps for posterity reasons, and secondly to flesh out what could be a mundane trip to and from Jaques and make it into an adventure in its own right.
The mapping project already includes many historic routes, including the Distant Worlds Galactic Highway, the Carina Mission Route, and will eventually mark out the first two recorded circumnavigations conducted during the early days of exploration. Jaques' route will be the latest one added to that list.
