There are a few visual treats I'm looking forward to. One is stars and gas-giants deforming when they have a fast spin. The second most important star in Elite, Achenar is supposed to be hugely flattened. I hope to see that some day in the not too distant future. Similarily touch binaries shouldn't look like two balls neatly intercecting, but much more dynamic and scary.
