Heh. Wasn't there another thread about this today? Anyway. Agreed. Just playing with Space Engine 0.9.7.3 - not only aurora, but lovely effects for dust clouds and atmospheres being stripped from planets leaving trails blowing away in the stellar wind. Just looking at Aldebaran in SE makes me long for such things in E: D. I secretly hope that the Gamescon announcement is at least partially about more astronomical stuff being added to the game.
