You also need to consider the timezone issue.
The majority of players seem to be located around Europe, and it is natural that the majority of those will be generally playing within their local times of 6pm-11pm.
This resolves to about 5am-10am, eastern Australian time, where the majority of Aussies are located. Not a very convienient time to log in. Conversely, I doubt if there will be many Europeans logged in when the majority of Aussies will be playing.
What does this mean?
- You will see even less MP activity than you normally would if you are an Aussie. This could mean fewer opportunities to participate in manually 'injected' events. To verify this, there is already a thread where a community initiated event was scheduled purely based on English local time.
- Chances are that server maintanence will occur during your peak game times as they are generally the least disruptive periods for the majority of the players.
- It will be interesting to see how a lower network population will affect the latency. Will latency increase because there are less peers, or will it decrease because there is less congestion?
