Any members of the Pacific want to form a group, or if there is already one can you publicise yourself or take new members. We are online at a time when there are few other cmdrs online so involvement in the conflicts is lonely. I am novice with a moderately kitted cobra currently in a remote region but can move quickly to another system.

Just posted in the Aus thread linked above, but thought I'd copy said post here to see if there's enough interest in what I'm proposing.
I'm not sure if anyone else has proposed it, but I am giving serious thought to creating a community based site dedicated to Aus players only and am wondering if there'd be enough interest for me to go forth and do so. I'm envisioning a site based on a CMS that would give members their own wall (like Facebook, but tidier) where they could post comments, images, videos, make friends, form groups, etc. A forum (viewable by members only) that among other things would allow us to share info, group up and organize, take over systems, run events, etc. I'm looking closely at jomsocial and easysocial for joomla, which I have plenty of experience using.
I'm wondering if this is something the Aus ED community might be interested in. If there's enough interest I'll go forth and build it. Can I see a show of hands?

I played nearly all day today and met one other CMDR. These forums, with people talking about greifing and such.. feel like I'm playing a different game.
