Author Drew Wagar adjusts the online profile of the Elite: Reclamation protagonist

Our last thread, intended to be mysterious for players was understandably moved into the less frequented Lore and Roleplay thread. Likely as a result of the tone and style of the post as seen here. So allow me, the leader of the in-game player group known as the 'Dark Wheel' restate this in the Dangerous Discussion thread for all to see:

The character known in-game and in Mr. Wagar's excellent novel, Elite: Reclamation as Senator Kahina Tiajani Loren / Salomé Loren may make one final appearance in the Galnet, at least for some time, based off of Drew Wagar's latest blog and Kahina's updated profile. I don't want to spoil any of the details, so please visit those links yourselves.

I know a lot of you have interest in this which is why I'm posting in a much more OOC style.

Interesting, maybe I'm reading too much into it.
Does this mean the Dark Wheel will be a new power if Archon Delaine is destroyed?

I would love to see the Dark Wheel as a power, but they would never openly reveal themselves in the same fashion the current powers do. Maybe it could be handled in a certain way that it is a power, but less ostentatious than the other powers.

I'm kind of sad this is the conclusion (so far anyway).

I found it more interesting as the character spiced up the GalNet feed. Today, it's all too po-faced, and it feels like the entries are much more stale now, with less care taken to them.

Many of the entries are player created now.

Potentially if a power it could then be vanquished and removed from the game. Considering the history in game lore it would be hard to see that happening.

I really miss the old galnet. I use to look forward to each installment. Now though I couldn't care less. It just comes across as too contrived, too cartoon-ish.

I like the history and the work that went into it so kudos. :)
I also like the idea that a Power could be nerfed beyond reasonable hope. How to take it from that point may ask some interesting questions. Does that Power regroup?
Do they get a new "head" and different artwork?
Do new areas previously explored (explored by players) get opened.
Do they have a set CG period where they have "x" amount of time to populate or support building something in key systems where they can't be attacked for a week? as a means to protect / build their base of operations, yet not at the expense of existing entities.
PP related stats so they can grow and maybe a little help?
I'd be happy with an end game for the least popular tbh. Bring in the new personality..give then stability and see where it goes from there.

All these things, if they were to happen would be really cool.
I haz dreams...

The Dark Wheel would never be a power, just saying.
At best, at max rank, they may call you but beyond that, there will only be silence.

What do I know though...

The Dark Wheel do seem to be asking for assistance with lots of deliveries of 'Trinkets of Hidden Fortune' as diplomatic gestures wherever I go these days... hmm... (In systems nothing to do with the Founder's World).

Public as in not hidden, operating out in the open under their own name, unlike factions like, say, the Elite Federation of Pilots or INRA.

The EFP and the PF seem almost interchangeable and the PF is certainly public. With much of the lore being subject to change we don't know if INRA actually ever existed in the E:D universe
