Auto Field maintenance unit

How can I tell what systems sell a certain kind of outfitting equipment? For example I'm looking for an Auto Field maintenance unit. Do I just fly around looking for one in the hope that they've got one because that would be like rolling a dice..boring.

Filter out high tech or large population industry systems. Pick one and go dock.Or just head to 61 CYGNI or Groombridge 34 if you are nearby..

High-tech systems have better chance to provide more technology for your ship. There is no possibility to search in galaxy map for specific type of tech. Also, when you are docked and enter hangar and outfiting window, if there is a item that fits your ships slots, you will se in top right corner of that slot a blue + (plus) sign.

generaly speaking you need high tech systems for more selection on modules......having said that it does seem some random stations have high level gear too ( reorte for example had the A class shield cells i was after so go figure :p) other than that it depends where you are.....Neatiaca is a good system.....as are those around Lave ( Leesti, Zaonce etc) ...sorry i cant be of more help

repair cockpit window

do those auto maintance units repair my cockpit clas when it starts to break?
or do i have to visit a statio tp repair it?
