Can i use that thing to repair my hull as well, or is just to repair components on board my ship.

just internal modules. No hull or thrusters etc

It repairs modules only, except hull, canopy, power plant or thrusters damage.

In beta kits got changed to be able to repair even thrusters and powerplant. They didn't repair only themselves (and the canopy as it is part of the hull).

I can't check it, now, because I can't play (spinning clipper) but I guess it stayed in released 1.1, no?

- Add the Repairable component to several modules that otherwise couldn't be repaired by AFM modules. Discovery scanners, Detail scanners and Thrusters are all now repairable in the field

Confirmed it can repair thrusters, but not itself (though if you have two they can repair each other) the hull or the power plant.
