Newcomer / Intro Auto fill passenger cabins

If your ship has multiple cabins does anyone know if a CMDR chooses to use autofill to select passenger missions will Elite choose the missions on most profit or is it just a random selection that fills the cabins? I searched the internet but can't find anything.

I think autofill just puts the passengers in the cabins for you after you have selected the mission rather than you having to load each cabin at a time.
