auto-launch/undocking/advanced docking computer

I know this must have been suggested, I searched and paged back so I could add a +1 but couldn't find anything.

I would love an advanced docking computer that launched and took you back out of the space station. I saw SJA suggest she's like to add auto-launch, so this is a "Yes Please" for that.

And to answer the "Why?" question, because I'm super lazy and I like computers doing stuff for me while I fiddle with the next destination in the galaxy map. That and my spatial awareness inside a station is terrible... and no, I don't need it for outposts

Could be something they could add relatively easily really, simply making use of the same logic the NPS ships use to leave.
If you have a DC fitted then could be an option.

I personally think that DC docking should be pilot controlled as well - have yet to try one but I believe it kicks in automatically? Should be pilot authorised/dismissed.

+1, would love this feature. Would love to have the ship's computer 'hand-off' control when the mailslot is cleared.

You have to throttle down to zero for the DC to be enabled. So if you move the throttle off zero, you will have control.
Be careful about throttling down to zero in the toast rack. The ship will do a U turn and hit the front wall. At least it did when I tried it.
