I agree with Autopilot as an additional module to work in conjunction with the docking chip. Sacrifice two optionals and the trade off is a mostly relaxed experience. It doesn't work for combat so the risk of interdiction is still a threat (maybe with an option to allow your co pilot AI to respond by launching a fighter set to defend, since your going to lose the pilot anyway if your ship is destroyed.) This would compliment trading in ED and even add to the experience of pirating player traders. Imagine scrolling through players modules searching for a trade vessel with a Navigation chip then stalking the pilot waiting to attack. Myself, I am a trader and I make my ED living buying and selling, filtering my galaxy map and plotting routes running those grindy boom data missions for my faction and tracking several different system statuses at once, planning our next move. This feature only adds to the experience and believe me when I say, as a console pilot (Xbox one) and a Faction recruiter, it takes A LOT to keep pilots grinding. Another thing to consider, in a Faction like mine our best traders often post screen caps of their routes to our club feed and discord, IF we or another faction like us were infiltrated by a spy, the spy could sale our information or use it any number of ways. I genuinely feel like this game NEEDS autopilot, as well as some new customization features such as changing the voice of your ships AI and the Ui color and style. Also it would nice to add a bookmarks tab to the target panel so we can quickly plot a route without the galaxy map.
