Auto repair canopy

Outfitted my python for combat and for the hell of it put in an auto repair module.
I noticed in my module page there is a line for canopy, and that it is repairable.
Does this mean i can fix a blown windscreen in space? or just up until it's breached?

I can't remember seeing this module before the last update so i don't know if it's always been there or not.
I really haven't used a repair module, as i normally run out of ammo first.
I know hull damage isn't repairable,only in station.

Canopy was put on module list in last update.

My experience and i have read that others have same is that you can repair canopy if it isn´t destroyed. So if it goes to 0% and get destroyed you can´t repair it (you live with life support and there is big hole in canopy).

Been there, one of the reason i have top life support(actually it's the only reason i have top life support).
I seem to have an issue with backing down from a front on fight.
