Auto Updating the game.

I know I could code something to occasionally load the launcher (once a day?) click log in, then check Play/Update button and click it if it says "Update" so that Elite is ready when I get to it, but I'm feeling lazy.

Would anyone else like Frontier to give us an option to do it automatically? When they've got a moment, no rush.

If someone has already made an update tool could they post a link?

Since updates are announced before they hit and the Galaxy servers are brought down prior to update (which mean you can't play anyway), what time do you imagine you are actually saving?

Plus that you can save allot of electricity by powering down your machine after playing...

It'd only check if the machine was powered on (actually my machine hibernates and wakes automatically for TV recordings, so It'd fit it in with that). Auto updates are one of the most common features quoted when anyone asks about the benefits if using Steam. I was wondering if there really was a demand.

It's just annoying to sit down to play with a free half hour to just see the Upgrade button, hit it, then find something else to do instead.

I won't bother building something if no one wants it.
