When OFF it is supposed to balance engine noise with scanner, so the scanner would be heard better.
Is the Wave Scanner volume loud enough for you now even at 1/2 to 3/4 SRV speed?

This has been a bugbear for many of us SRV lovers for a very long time(the wave scanner volume being terribly low) , and suddenly today I saw this in the 3.3 patch notes and got excited.
Nope !!! Still too quiet
Whomever has objected to FD via bug reports or the other forums, we keep hearing back that it is as intended, which is bull.
