Automatic fine?

I took my first long range mission today, nothing special, just some Narcotics about 398 Ly away. When I get to the surface of the station, it pops up illicit cargo even though the mission says it's fine here (maybe a bug or just a wrong worded mission). So I figure as long as I boost out of the station and don't let ships scan me I'll be fine. In the past coming out of the station is not the problem, it's usually going in.

Well I boost away and I'm about to get ready to jump and suddenly I have a fine? No Scan, no nothing. Is it an automatic fine now if your at a station with Illicit cargo? :eek: I always though you need to be scanned?

I've seen comments that it might be a scan that starts before you dock but you make it before it completes. It then silently continues when you leave.

Which would be a bug. But easy to work around.

That's exactly what happened to me, only mine cost a lot more. So I guess it's still a bug then.

@Ydiss, I don't believe I was scanned on my way in, and I only received the cargo in the station. I might go back there and see what happens, If I get another big fine, I'll have to open a ticket I guess.

If you lost a lot of cash and can't live without it, open a ticket. Mine was only 3K or so, so I didn't bother, but tech support is quite good at refunding for proven game bugs. I got 120K in bounties refunded over another ticket. Cheers.

My fine was 358,019 Cr, so fair enough that I wouldn't mind it back, but I'm not desperate for it (yet).
