Aquaman dies!

Right, got that out of my system.

Brilliant movie. Best I've watched in a long time. Really ties up a lot of things.

I look forward to seeing the next installment.

Thanos turned out to be one of my favorite (if not the one) villains of the MCU !
The dude is a mass murderer, okay, but he's got a point. I just didn't expect to like him that much :D

(Also Tyrion is a giant, doode. This is so good)

He was incredibly well written.

With respect I think it would be good to keep spoilers out of this.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and it's epic an awesome but there are so many spoilers.

I hope people who haven't seen the movie realise this when they see the thread title.

Great flick. Saw it in 3D and want to go and see it again. (O.k. I am a Marvel fan from way back).

You can always start a non-spoiler thread.
This one is apparently aimed meant for people who want to discuss what they saw in detail.

Saw it in 2D, good choice because holy crap symphony of special effects :)

Still digesting it. Russos are kings. They definitely know how to do these movies and for all flaws and issues, this movie just works - against all odds. Amazingly well done character moments and actors shine bringing out the best. Score is just drop down gorgeous. Visuals, scenography, even small moments are just amazing. Incredible work of huge team.

Story...was way more gut punching than I ever imagined it would be. This sets very jarring difference between rest of MCU, especially with Thor 3. But I approve Marvel going for challenging route here.

I won't spoil, because it just doesn't tell you what and how it happens, especially how movie ends and 'what now?' feel you will have after.

This has restored my belief in Avengers movies and MCU in bigger picture. It seems they want to up themselves in their own game and that can be only lauded.

p.s. "Ant-Man and Wasp" second trailer looks amazing balls and there are big hints now ending of that movie ties into IW.

Thanos easily takes best comic villain crown and chews it. I think that's the major point here - MCU teased us for very long time and now payoff is just incredible.

Gotta say I was surprised by Thanos...actually felt like they really put a lotta effort into his backstory and built his character up a lot better than some of our heroes...I actually liked him by the end. Ok hes a pretty mad and evil beyond compare, but his own personal character is very well done.

Was cool to see the villain from the first Captain America movie...Hugo Weaving played him the first time but I cant recall his name...the guy with the red skull fer a face who was last seen being sucked into some sorta wormhole. There have been many theories about what happened to him and it was really cool to see him brought back into the MCU universe as the guardian of the soul stone. So now we know...he didnt die after all because the power of the stone wont allow him to die.

Loki and Heimdal...sad to see them go, I liked both these characters a lot. And as fer Hulk...its not often the hulk gets such a beating in such a short space of time...thats possibly the first time Ive seen the hulk knocked out cold by a single enemy.

And seeing the ¨dwarf¨ Tyrion...he was bigger than Thanos and Hulk together I actually laughed out loud when I realized just how big the ¨dwarf¨ actually was.

As to the ending...hmm ye it doesnt get any more shocking than casually killing half the universe and half the entire MCU universe along with it...lotta casualties in this movie. And where was antman? Missing in action never saw him at all although the Antman and Wasp trailer looks good.

Thats one the best avengers movies yet imo...fast paced from beginning to end and every hero and villain gets just enough in the spotlight to make it relevant in some small way. Not gonna dwell too much on the ending as thats possibly one spoiler too many...highly recommend watching this movie if only fer the sterling job they did with Thanos. Villain or not, hes now one my favourite characters in the mcu universe...we even saw him crying genuine tears at one point. That genuinely hurt him ^

Decent AAA films can still be made :) Someone should tell the folks that work on Star Trek and Star Wars ;)

Redletter media review on the film (contains spoilers):

To be fair I really enjoyed Star Trek Beyond and have no idea why it failed in the box office, thought it was the best one out of the three, closely followed by the first one. Couldn't stand Star Trek Into darkness though.

I will be watching Infinity War on Wednesday, looking forward to it. My only issue is that I haven't seen black panther yet and there doesn't seem to be a way for me to watch it before Infinity War which is a bit frustrating. They need to sort out the movie timing a bit.

As a resident of Edinburgh (the city in Scotland that some scenes are set in) I'm left to ponder a few things. Firstly, there's not a single person on the street and Edinburgh is notorious as a city that you can drink in 24 hours a day. Even at 4am it isn't that quiet. I can only assume that they decided to get rid of any bystanders as everyone knows that Thanos's minions would be nothing but chunky salsa roughly 3.7 seconds after the locals realised it'd be legal to kill them. I'd also like to know who pays for the damage to Waverley Station's roof. Bloody Avengers, coming over here and trashing my city. After all, Thanos was no threat to us, he would need to seriously up his game if he thinks snapping his fingers with the infinity gauntlet will be a bigger threat to the lives of Scottish people than their own diet & lifestyles (I refer you to the sign in the window in Infinity War that says "we will deep fry your kebab").

I'm also frankly amazed that the quinjet never got a parking ticket, it was parked blocking the entrance to the station and our traffic wardens are ruthless.

And this one goes out to my fellow Scottish readers - I for one am heartbroken there wasn't a scene where once the fight was over, a local wandered over and asked Captain America if he "wanted to swallow a mouthful of Bucky". You know what I mean ;)

I just watched it last night.

Brilliant movie! Best one yet. :)

My only issue, is, uhh... I kinda agree with Thanos. :p
Too many people, indiscriminate get rid of half. Done!
And he didn't seem that evil. And actually kept his word.
A good bad guy.

Keeper of the soul stone was a nice twist.

Post credits scene was worth the wait.

I also rooted for Thanos. I think he's one of the best written Marvel villains, yet. If not the best.

It was a great movie and Thanos couldn't have been done better. Josh Brolin is an amazing actor. Sloppy writing though with Thanos' back story. How on gods green Earth could a race of immortals that are space faring run out of anything? Why didn't they explore? I do want a Thanos origins movie though.

My memory is atrocious at the moment. Did Thor die?

Nearly but the Guardians saved him. At the end he merc'ed Thanos with an axe to the chest.

Okay, I think I could have been more specific. My apologies.

I meant, was Thor a victim of the infinity gauntlet right at the end? Same way Spiderman died at the end?

I wonder how Thanos is going to react when he realizes that he's going to have to do it (wipe out half of all life) again. And again. And again...

After all, when asked if he did it, and what it cost him, his answer was 'everything'.

Okay, I think I could have been more specific. My apologies.

I've seen it twice now and, you know, I honestly don't remember seeing Thor after people start vanishing.

I think no, he isn't shown disappearing. But I might be wrong.
