Avoid the authorities on approach to your destination... Simple method.

So you find yourself smuggling slaves to a distant Federal outpost, but space is littered with authority ships?

Since avoiding interdiction has gotten harder. And dont' say it hasn't, because it has. Especially if you're hauling in a large ship that handles like a bathtub.

Here's what I do.

Ships spawn around you, they aren't there before you arrive at a system. So a simple workaround is to keep your eye on the scanner, the moment you spot an authority vessel veering it's course towards you. Simply throttle down and hop out of Supercruise.
The drive will cool down quickly and then enter Supercruise again.
It'll take several seconds for a new instance of ships to spawn back up.
It won't be the same ships.
Close the distance between you and your destination as soon as you see another authority vessel headed towards you, repeat the steps above.
Wash, rinse, repeat until you safely arrive at that outpost that has that Black Market contact.

No interdiction risk.
No fines doubling what you were going to make off of your sale.
No bad rep.

You're welcome.

Of course it'll work, the game has no persistence outside the bubble of space that you can see apart from market prices and other human players.

Why stop it? it's a part of gameplay avoiding detection, it's not a cheat it's a mechanic.

However I avoid detection/interdiction by using odd angles, and controlling your ship heat signature. I'll actually aim well away from my target and come in from the opposite side to other ships where I can. And even in SC, turn off modules you aren't using, Shields, Scoops, Cargo, Weapons etc, and watch your signature and internal temp drop.

As for avoiding interdictions..... I've never even tried to other than my very first one during beta phases, so I don't know how easy/hard it is. As a bounty hunter, I think it's fair sport to let the pirate take a fair beating, and make me a few thousand more CR.

If this works as the OP describes then it is an exploit and needs to be addressed by FD. It is not a game play mechanic.

Yeah i have noticed this, and this shows that the game does not have a living universe at all, if you compare this with X2 and X3, it's a shame really :(

Yep, this is the same issue at stations. NPCs aren't persistent and only spawn after a player arrives and creates the session. If your quick you can get inside the station before the security ships move to their patrol path. It needs fixing :/

It should kind of "fast forward" the NPCs by a few minutes before you finish jumping in. Then there would at least be traffic inside the station and in SC when you arrive.

I think I've ticketed this every major build since alpha. None of the tickets even get looked at :(

The generating ships after a player returns to HP/SC needs to go (if possible) as it's exploitable and a real immersion killer. Not a fan of "the galaxy revolves around you" mechanism.

Silent running has been nerfed almost completely out of the game.

It still works, but you can't do stuff like shoot at people without them being able to see you any more :p

Though there isn't any use for it at all. There are no situations where you need to use stealth. 99% of the time battles are taking place in open space where it just won't work very well. If assassination missions took place in asteroid rings etc (instead of just random USSs) it might make more sense to use it.
