Agreed. I got mine just for to do the occasional courier run to outposts after fully kitting out a Clipper. I find that I sometimes jump into it even though I don't have to and the current job could be done with a larger ship - it's simply fun to fly. It's maneuverable, beautiful, fast, reasonably well armed, sounds great.. only drawback I seem to see is that for some reason, it's landing gear takes a bit longer to deploy (I'd love to see the animation to see what's taking so long..) - that coupled with the fact that it literally takes a few seconds to dock this zippy, maneuverable beauty, I sometimes find myself hovering over the pad waiting for the "landing gear deployed" announcement by the ship computer. But that's really a minor nitpick. And, of course, if those really great shields do come close to dropping, it's time to retreat - the hull is made of wet tissue paper reinforced by overcooked noodles. So the tactic on it is to definitely not lose your shields, and if you see you won't be able to prevent it retreat in time. Otherwise great ship to have around, especially if you want to do missions and rank up, since it's suitable for pretty much anything the bulletin board can throw at you (except, perhaps, mining).
Armed mine with a couple of c2 gimbaled pulse lasers and a c2 rail gun (I did try all fixed and it worked great against big ships, but took a bit longer than I like to kill anything small and nimble - in the end I found myself overall more effective with gimbaled lasers - can always untarget if the enemy deploys chaff). Still got enough power for 2 shield boosters, a chaff launcher, e rated kws, and 2 c2 SCB's running at the same time with a bit of power prioritizing. I swap around one cargo rack with an FSD interdictor as the current job requires. Also keep an A3 fuel scoop on it all times which tops it up pretty fast. Great little ship (here's my
build).
