Awful FPS drops during gameplay in near empty sandbox park. Eh?

So I've never really suffered from drops in frame rate when playing Planet Coaster...Now, out of nowhere and using only the Sci Fi themed items (which I never usually touch), I'm getting really bad drops all the time and here's the thing, I haven't built anything; no paths; no rides; no buildings; not anything. The only construction I've done is to put one of each sci fi items out on the ground to easily copy them when building a dark ride I wanted to start working on and that's what's causing it. Just those items.

What's going on with that? Anyone else experienced it?

I don't feel like even bothering to build the dark ride now if I'm getting massive frame drops at the very start of construction while other builds with thousands upon thousands of items have worked just fine.

EDIT: Forgot to specify I'm a pc using PC player.

The latest updates seem to have messed-up Antialiasing and Phys-X... Turn both those options OFF, if they are on. (High or low has no impact, if they are ON, they seem to cause random game-freezes.)

I'm playing on a Core i9, with 18 cores, 36 logical processors, 64GB DDR4 RAM, two Titan-V GPUs with 12GB each, two Titan-Xp ME cards with 12GB each, on a 4TB M.4 SSD and still get this random freezing, if either of those two settings are enabled. Doesn't matter if I only have an empty lot, or a fully packed world...

I think you might have something here. I turned them both off and my park doesn't seem to crash...yet.... Interesting.

Good to hear... I think the "stalling" and "crashing", may be related to NVIDIA not responding in the way that the game expects, or it is throwing an error that is "fatal", simply because it is "unhandled". NVIDIA has gone through a LOT of updates, compared to Planet-Coaster, which is obviously a few behind. Not sure about people with AMD cards... If it does the same, then the issue is all internal, in the game. (Borked-code).
