I found a bag of microwave rice in the back of the cupboard. Nobody knows about it.

It's just plain rice. What should I add to it for lunch?

Seasoned chicken breast and steamed broccoli. Or butter and sugar.

On the butter and sugar. I've not heard of that on rice. Care to explain? Do I just dump the butter and sugar on top of the rice after it's been cooked?

It's kind of a simple desert. Warm the rice with a dab of butter. Dust the sugar on to make a thin coat on top. It makes a sort of Icing. Not too much sugar either.

Thanks. Hmm, dessert isn't really what I'm looking for. But I know a new recipe now!

Rice is a good entree stretcher. Steam it and then fry it in butter with your choice of protein. Chicken and shrimp are a good combo. Cubed beef with some Worcestershire sauce works too.

White wine with the chicken and shrimp option. Red wine with the beef.

Lol yay, a thread with my name on it.

Oh oh! I know this one!

Sort of.

Don't microwave it.

Dice some onions (or red onion/spring onions), fry those off a bit, add some meat of your choice (diced chicken, minced beef, prawns, etc), once it's nearly cooked, add the rice to the frying pan. Don't worry, it'll cook fine.
When it's nearly done, add some soy sauce and whisk up a couple of eggs, and throw that in.

Instant-ish home made egg fried rice. Lol
