I think AX combat is totaly ruined now with the limit taking off from guardian weapons. people flying with 6 guardian shards omg what was fdev thinking.
Cyclops instant dead, even a medusa is a panic shield fest now. Normal AX combat was a bit end game combat but now every noob can GIB a goid.
AX multi and dumbfire with bigger limit is ok but please put the limit on the guardian weapons back to 4 its way to overpowered.

They need to change the payouts. Go back to the 2mill for a insta kill interceptor and then give a bonus if you take the hearts. out say a million a heart bonus for those that want to still kill with some skill.

My hope is this is the golden money making period before FDev drop the Titan.

Having it accessible to everyone shouldn't be seen as a problem, but yeah, I'd agree with needing to do something to up the difficulty at the top end if we need something more challenging than a Hydra now.

I can see both sides to this...my view is simple,

Thargoid combat WAS end-game content, but the war changes that...
it's now the primary new content (arguably only new content).
so it cannot be considered endgame only- thats an unrealistic expectation.

so Fdev have to open up AX combat to everyone, or at least 'mid-game' players.
though, some of this is being overstated... getting guardians weapons and even engineering is still behind a grind wall.
and whilst the new human ax weapons are great against scouts, I find (as a non-veteran!) everything else is still a challenge.
(though I likely need more skills, and some engineering)

HOWEVER, I do agree - they also need to give something back to the 'veterans'.. give them back an end-game.
if these thargoids are not end-game - what is?

but perhaps we need to wait and see... we still have no idea whats needed for the Maelstroms, that could very well be end-game territory.

I didn't jump in on the previous thread on this topic, but have time to jump in on this one.
  1. A lot of us thought that expansion of AX weapons allowed would be human only. That's all I really wanted, and preferably without a stabilization unit (exactly how much stress can those missiles and multicannons actually put on our ships?).
  2. If you are unhappy, leave. You've already left feedback, so leave if it bothers you that much (or keep playing and grumbling to yourself)
I normally don't weigh in on the whole "endgame content is now too easy" argument that comes in most games, especially MMOs, because those raids, dungeons, etc. are not necessary to completing the game. That doesn't apply here. The "endgame bosses" aren't staying in a special zone, they are actively raiding system after system and threatening to burn it all to the ground! If they aren't stopped, they will eliminate the other forms of game play in the Bubble. Further, some player factions got sandbagged when the maelstroms arrived and hit their little bubbles of influence. There is simply NO equivalency between other games end game bosses being made easier and the situation here; the former can be ignored by players, the latter can't!

Nope. Don't care. You don't feel "elite" any more? Well, what's keeping you from fighting the hard way? The rest of us just want wipe these bugs out as fast as possible. Heck, some of us are irritated that we have this invasion constantly hanging over our heads when would rather explore/bounty hunt/do ground missions/play other games!

So no sympathy here. Other games... yeah, heard it before and I sympathize. In this case... NOPE.

Patience young Jedi, Fdevs are trying things out and using us as guinea pigs.
I have been playing since 1984 and the game is getting interesting now.
Mark my words, this is just the beginning and I have a feeling it won't be long before the Thargoids start recruiting us. Then there is the possibility of Thargoids on the ground plus lots of real estates for them to move into.
Enjoy this opportunity to sharpen your skills and bank some money.

I kind of agree, thargoids are supposed to be scary and threatening. Cyclops are ridiculous now.

Also I completely assumed that the higher limit modules for AX weapons only applied to the human experimental weapons, not the guardian. I don't think the guardian ones should have been increased.
