AX CZ Question?

So i have been smashing scouts by going around the NHSS:es and now i'm curious about those CZs. What can i expect over there and should i even consider going there with my scout smashing ship (AXMC build)?

Edit: Nevermind. Found the information: Not for those without Guardian tech!

This depends on your goal. If your goal is to just do the scout wave (e.g., for combat rank), an AX MC build is perfectly fine. If you want to stand a reasonable chance against the interceptor wave, you need Guardian gauss cannons.

I'm grinding to unlock Lori Jameson and i can do that by going through those NHSS:es. I do those AXCZ:s when i have unlocked the stuff i need to go through the whole thing.

In order to go through "the whole thing" you need to be able to take out a Hydra. Most pilots are not capable of doing this, even with the right equipment, without several weeks or even months of AX combat training.

If you are only out for combat rank, the scout wave is what you are after.

Which to me is the hardest thing to kill the Basilisk, and the Hydra and Medusa just require a lot more time and resources to recharge and repair.
My ship is a Cutter with shields. And I don't use cold orbiting because I can't aim in fao mode with my gamepad.

Basilisk is way easier than Medusa and Hydra in any ship. In particular if you are facetanking it.
You also do not really need to do FA off to orbit (although it is generally easier). EuanAB is also one of the top AX pilots currently and he is flying an Alliance Chieftain in FA off on X-box, so it is certainly doable.
The only interceptor to really require ammo synth is the Hydra.

You can't connect the joystick to the XBox? If a pilot flies on a gamepad in FAOFF mode, he's really a very good pilot.

Boss, in answer to your actual question, in CZ AX the first wave is just scouts. You get a bounty per scout. Just before the second wave begins, you'll see a 100000 'credit'. At that point with an AXMC build, I'd recommend you leave.

The difference between NHSS and CZ AX is the ease of popping back in and out and that the number of scouts is generally higher than in NHSS.

Hope this helps.

Are there always interceptors in the points? I fly into point 5 and there may be scouts. When I fly to point 6 there may also be scouts and there are a lot of them.
I think at point 9 there may also be Scouts and a lot of them.

Threat level 7 and above always have an interceptor (unless empty apart from stuff). If there are scouts, the interceptor will not be present at first, but instead jump into the instance after a short time.

Threat 9 is always hydra+scouts.

If an NHSS has three icons - including the cylinder salvage icon - then it is guaranteed to contain a single interceptor of the variant appropriate to the threat level.

I kill 10-12 scouts per run. There are allied NPCs, that 'help'\'compete' against you, since when the bigger brother comes in is based on how many scouts are killed, or so it seems. The NPCs pick up aggro, which makes it easier than NHSS alone. The bigger brother always show up after that, but while I've seen them and their swarms because I've waited too long to run, I've always boosted shortly after because I'm currently just AX.

I just low wake out, decontaminate (drop from super cruise) if I need to, and then jump to super cruise and drop back in and start over.

This is my first time in the CZ AXs. I haven't had to rebuy yet.
