AX interceptor bounties + ports under attack + slow galaxy map

Hello
Just a quick enquiry. Three things:
  1. When fighting in AX conflict zones, at the start of the war when there were loads of cmdrs in the zones you would get payouts for attacking interceptors even if you went off to attack another; it even persisted over death so that if you respawned from death before an interceptor (that you had attacked earlier, before death) then got blown up, you got the bounty. It meant I earned a fortune through the hard work of others.... Now I don't seem to get AX bounties if I don't hit the Cyclops within so many seconds of its destruction, even if I'm the only one in the AX CZ?? Has this changed? I was drifting damaged the other day and the cyclops got blown up by a NPC even though I'd dished out my fair share of damage to it and its hearts, and I got zilch...
  2. Where can I find planetary ports under attack? At the start of the war, the invasion systems would have planetary ports under attack and there would be loads of cmdrs in there; it was like a film, with beautiful atmospheric sunsets, loads of ships, mayhem, and the ability to dock and repair so that you could carry on the battle. Now there are 0 systems under invasion (the AXI is defeating them quickly???) but there are a few under alert. Do planetary ports under attack still exist, and if so where could I find them?
  3. Does anyone else find the galaxy map incredibly slow to target a system since the update? It hangs for a good 3 seconds before it lets you long-press to select a system as a destination. (I am using an xbox controller on PC).

There aren't currently any active ports under attack - this requires the Invasion state, which won't appear until there's a week where not all Alerts are defeated. There's a chance that there will be some on the 31st as several high-difficulty Alerts are expected next week and it's possible that some of them will make it through to be Invasions the week after. But only a chance - it might take a few more weeks of recapturing high-difficulty systems before enough high-difficulty Alerts come up at once.

If you aren't too bothered about the "dock and repair" part, then Control system planetary ports will attract Thargoids if you hang around them. HR 2204 is the Control system with both planetary ports and the highest player activity this week, so you might well find other players fighting there too.

Thank you for this helpful information. I ended up going into a CZ nearby after upgrading to Azimuth Enhanced AX Multicannons on my Krait with a weapon stabiliser, and that proved lucrative. First time I've actually blown up a glaive in hyperdiction too - was forever getting destroyed flying my Viper IV.

How do you find out what the current control system is and how popular it is for players? It is a AXI web page or something?

In general, the best way is to open the Galaxy map and use the Thargoid War Information on the left:

Selecting from those top five Control systems will show you the system-specific information. Some of these systems will be empty, which you can see based on whether its victory state will be Unpopulated or Recovery, but there should be Conflict zones present either way.

For a bit more qualitative observation, the recent combat activity around M. Hadad has caught our attention a bit in Thargoid invasion - Next target systems:
Well done again to all at HR 2204 earlier; even without much communication here, I am quite happy that a few modest deliveries kept the main drive going well. I can see that most moved over to Montioch and perhaps a few to HIP 30502; despite its high strength, I can say that if 10–11% in one day at Montioch can be duplicated across a full week, that is a brilliant achievement and indeed makes Montioch suitable for supporting for a completion!

That was just before the end of the previous week though, so it is a bit early to suppose that Montioch will still be targeted!

you get tagged money for player kill. if its an npc kill you will not get the bounty if you didnt hit the target in the last ~15 seconds. that works for thargoids and human ships as well.

Ah that'll explain how I was getting bounties in zones where there were loads of commanders since they were the ones blowing up the Thargoids whilst I was away.

Ah that "control" system. I'll keep heading to those 5 systems then.

Thank you very much, much appreciated.
