I'm figuring someone was blowing away something big around azeban city station, because I launched and the skies were full of gold..gold..gold..gold and I was scooping it up and selling it at the black market as fast as I could. Out scoop 4..in sell 4..I was surprised to find the eagle had only 4 cargo bays..gasp. Thanks whomever that was blowing stuff up and showering us all with gold. I figured I was going to get blown away any second, but everyone was too busy scooping and bumping into each other lol. I remember original elite scooping was much easier..this one seems to have the cargo suddenly move at the last second and make me swerve hard..even coming in super slow had the cargo suddenly dart left or right or up or down. I felt like I was trying to catch a wild cat.
Another note while I am typing..is that lighting and thunder I hear when I am flying? I am gonna guess those are small asteroids hitting the hull, but sure sounds like a storm building up outside in the ..uh vacuum. :-O

Ah crap, and I was busy with pirates and hostile players in the anarchy system inside the resource mining site. *sigh*

Can't someone drop his cargo at this area :) I really appreciate it :p

When you have any target selected, it's highlighted on your HUD with three triangles, one solid and two unfilled. The solid one indicates the target's movement. In the case of a canister, this indicates its drift. Manoeuvre your craft so that you're behind the canister and it's drifting away from you for the most accurate scooping.

Targets suddenly moving sounds like network synch issues to me.

/Merf - Not unlikely if there were many many objects to track around a station.

Heh, I got some of this gold too, which allowed me to upgrade to gimballed pulse lasers, and finally make a buck grinding in the conflict zones. Thanks to the donor!

I'm afraid I'm out until the next update unless someone can lend me so creds. I don't have the time to grind at 200c profit a trip (ignoring incursions and subsequent repairs)

*Someone* in there newly aquired anaconda decided to test Anaconda vs Anaconda last night and the resulting explosion left canisters of gold all over the place. Its a bit like a star going nova. :D

Starting fresh

One of the close by systems is anarchy, called like 168-38 or something like that, hyperjump there in a fresh new sidewinder, then target the 4th planet and supercruise over there and right to that planet is a unidentified signal, pop out of supercruise there and look for battles and free cargo, specially ones called Personal which sell for about 4k each. Grab 4 and hyperjump back to eranin and evade police scans, sell at the black market and go back for more..you will have an eagle in 5 or 6 runs with extra for insurance and weapons. Easy Peasy, kinda scary but fun )

Any chance one of these Anaconda philanthropists would be around Azeban City tonight, at maybe 8 or 9 pm (UK time)?

It would really help me make up for all the CTDs which have cost me about 40,000Cr so far and have me stuck in a Sidewinder :D

Unfortunately I work until 11pm London time so it wouldn't be until almost midnight. But I'll be around. If that's too late maybe the weekend? I'll post on my Scoopables thread which server I'm on. Maybe that Anaconda would like a shot at me? :cool:

I was fortunate to be around one night when Stu 'brought the rain'. I'll be happy to pass on the favor and drop a few cans tonight.

Perhaps you ought to share your source of all this gold so that others can take up the slack for you when you arent around? :)

I worked really hard getting up to 25k Cr last night and sure enough, a CTD left me with 12 when I got back in the game.

Looking forward to the weekend gold drop (if you're free)
