Summary
System: Djeriman
Station: Stebler City (Ocellus starport, large pads available, 433 Ls from main star, 147.20 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Deliver Deep Tissue, Tissue and Partial Tissue samples obtained from Thargoid Titans
Time limit: 22nd June 3309 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Requests for tissue samples obtained from the Thargoid Titans have been made by Azimuth Biotech.
Leon Banerjee, science correspondent for Vox Galactica, reported on the rival initiatives:
The Titans offer a tremendous opportunity for xenological research, but carry equally significant risks. These involve passing through the Maelstroms’ caustic clouds and energy barriers, avoiding Thargoid patrols, and escaping with tissue samples intact. Only the most determined pilots would undertake such missions, and the two leading anti-xeno organisations seek to attract these individuals with considerable payouts.

There are numerous unique materials identified so far. In this campaign, Azimuth Biotech is looking to acquire a large stock of tissue samples. These are recovered using research limpets at various points on the Titan’s architecture, acquired from minor flaws in the Titan’s highly protective outer layers.

Ships outfitted with a pulse wave xeno scanner and research limpet controller – or a suitable multi-limpet controller - can collect these materials. Azimuth Biotech has vowed to use samples to develop ‘cutting-edge military countermeasures to Thargoid aggression’.
Pilots signed up to the Azimuth initiative can deliver any Titan tissue samples to Stebler City in the Djeriman system.
If Tier 1 of the campaign is reached, the top 75% of contributors will receive the following paint jobs:
  • Eagle Azimuth Callous
  • Fer-de-Lance Azimuth Callous
  • Krait Mk II Azimuth Callous

The campaign begins on the 15th of June and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.
To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering any Deep Tissue, Tissue and Partial Tissue samples obtained from Thargoid Titans to Stebler City in the Djeriman system.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.

Notes:
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Shpiyard, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel, Search & Rescue, Materials Trader (Manufactured)
  • Prices at Stebler City :

Well, they gave Azimuth paintjobs for 3 popular ships, and Aegis paintjobs for 3 niche ships.
Pretty smart idea, really. Most people are going to be supporting Aegis by default, so giving some incentive for Azimuth is good.

Honestly, I like that that's the way they run things historically. You support aegis for role-play reasons, or Azimuth for material Rewards.

If both CGs reach tier 1, does that mean we're getting both outcomes? As in whatever module Aegis & Azimuth are working on.

Historically, if opposed CGs reach the same tier, it's whoever achieves higher.

It doesn’t say that either organisation is at the working on something stage, this seems to be about gathering ingredients for the mad science bit.

The only outcomes are the paint jobs.
Probably a plot decision point.

Yeah, but imagine since Aegis got more samples than Azimuth and Azimuth just goes, "welp looks like Aegis got more titan samples than us, let's just dump all our samples and forget this incident ever happened."

Or they'll do both. I have a strong feeling that the way this will play out is both initiatives will claim success, with Aegis simply having more samples at the end.

The only 'competition' that there is, is trying to attract pilots for sample deliveries. Sure feels/looks that way to me. Aegis gives out more general purpose/research-centric stuff, Azimuth gives out toys that blow stuff up for anyone who cares.
