Azure Paint jobs. A gift of broken heart.

As Horizons buyers, we received a free paint job to use on our ships. Only the paints ain't working! So what gives? Another example of untested beauty from Frontier. What's worse, the game wants to charge me 3250arx for the paint. Selecting this paint when it doesn't try to charge me just triggers default ship paint. Broken gift. Broken heart... 😔 LOL.

I think we all deserve a free Odyssey update - us base game and Horizon buyers. We've paid enough on top of cosmetics, so hand over the goods. Lol.

I think that's PS4 only .... everyone else has theirs.

Well I paid something like 50 euros for basegame+hyorizons. Whatever cosmetics I had before were paid with freebie arx's, plus for me azure paintshop works. I say game has proven to be good value for the money invested, so I'll gladly pay for Odyssey and continued development of this game.

You shouldn’t be so dismissive of OPs concern. Yes it’s a good value, but the fact remains that FDEV promised the azure paint job for all previous owners of Horizons. If the OP is a previous owner they are fully entitled to expect that the promise be kept. Just like you got yours.

It’s a known issue with PS4 owners but I’m not sure if it has been acknowledged by FDEV or given an ETA on when it might be resolved.

Not on XB, unless its personal and all XB users but me.

First none then found the T9 had it but wouldnt show it in Livery, but did show it in game. Still not available for any other I found,
Then new Orca has it, showed in Livery but not in game, relog and it was in game too :)

So thats 2 in 2 weeks, just hang in there and keep checking :) I assume its a wider issue and they know.

I've been supporting this game through 3 platforms and twice had to rebuy all my cosmetics because Fdev wouldn't do anything for me with regards to transferring any of it from Xbox to PS4. It cost me a lot of money, in the hundreds and hundreds easily, yet I have watched Fdev release a lot of broken updates and break a lot of promises on content whilst leaving us waiting excruciatingly long for fixes etc.

They under deliver on some content and in some cases we never see it - here's looking at the Cobra Mk4 on PS4. Carriers took a long time and Ice Worlds never came at all.

Either way, it's just disappointing when they announce things with such glee, yet clearly didn't work to make sure it was released in working order.

It's just a glitch - the azure paint is applied, but it doesn't look like it at first.

Apply paint - relog

Enjoy the shiny.


My only problem with it is that it looks so good, it makes all the other paint jobs redundant

I'd like to say, as a Horizons owner, that I got ganked by a Scrawl artist, but they do better work. Frontier's DILLIGAF factor strikes again.

Not just PS4 owners. My wife had the skin, and then it was removed, leaving her with a weirdly grey ship, and she (like myself) plays on PC.

For some of us it doesn't appear to exist in game at all- no paint to apply. That's what you get for being old school and buying the game on disk anyway.
