I’m not sure if anyone else feels this way but the baby elephant looks very weird to me. Unlike most animals that have slight quirks from their real counterpart, I feel like the baby African Elephant is too stylized. The adults look great and I think it’s why by comparison the babies look weird. The face looks really elongated and the trunk very stiff. In reality the opposite is true. Newborn elephants have little control over their trunk and head muscles so they droop a lot more. The baby elephant also has super overly exaggerated eyes and eyelashes which all of these things together make it look like a clay figure and not a real animal. Might be too late now to fix this but it’s always been slightly unsettling since the first reveal. In some ways I feel it was a bigger issue than when people were upset over the peacock. There is a ton of reference online for baby elephants and you can quickly see the big flaws. Zoo Tycoon Ultimate Animal Collection has the proportions right so the fact this game doesn’t is a bit upsetting.

Note how the trunk acts more as a noodle and less like a straight wire connected to its head. Another thing I'm also noticing is elephants rarely have visible white in their eyes which may be another thing adding to that uncanny valley level of stylization.

Its stylized. The elephant still looks like a baby elephant.. just like the lion looked fine. I mean, they do this in order to make it blend in a bit better with the art style, and to make them look cartoony enough to pass in the world of planet coaster.
That makes sense.
