I just came across my first system that has no "discovered first by" tags.

I know, I know - that's hardly an achievement. And yet, I feel I finally made that step into the unknown!

Making that step is an achievement no matter how you're downplaying it

It wets the appetite, it plants the bug for more, it will take up all your spare time in the future, it'll ruin other games for you.

Congratulations. It's already been said, but I'm pretty sure just making the step is a pretty big deal. And a fantastic screenshot to go with it! Those are some excellent finds. Good luck to you in the future.

I'm about 400ly from Sag A and hardly seen any discovered tags for 1000's and 1000's of lys! Plenty out there.

That's my longer term plan.

Funny how quickly that mindset takes hold though, I'm in the Bubble for a while yet, but the jump-range on the DBS is enough for me to be tempted...one more ELW or a terra formable metal rich planet....

With 11 mio explored systems that may be a tad impractical, unless you limit it somehow.

Thanks! Yeah, I guess that - unless you want to cover long distances in reasonable times - economic routing is the way to go once you hit unexplored space.

Thanks...! Well, it was just a crappy ice planet system when I started the thread. The tfc's were my second system. I was way more excited about this second system.
