After serveral months of wandering around the galaxy I got to known space and was able to finally dock in Jaques. I decided to record the moment... and almost had a heart attack

A warm welcome, CMDR!
I was at Jaques two days ago and was relieved my docking skills were still 'adequate'.

Also, Colonia Hub was my first ever settlement I landed on. I took it quite ceremonially and flew an extra round across the range. These moments... [heart]

I visited Jaques on the way home. It had only just been found so it hadn't got Universal Cartographics.
Thankfully it's much easier to dock an ASP X, even without the docking computer I forgot I had.

Since you have a Conda already maybe you can consider getting it back to the bubble and prepping for Distant Stars next year. You'll need to engineer but Dr Kaii put a useful guide in there to help you get it sorted.

DWE: Not Back Yet

This thread got me wondering:

Who of the many Cmdrs who took part in DWE have still not yet touched down at a Space Station or a Outpost since leaving BP2?

Me, for one. Still out there. I left BP2 on 1 July but just cannot face turning for home. Not yet anyway.

While youre there within 200ly theres massive amounts of systems still to tag around jaques, so feel free to do some metric / localised data colelction and sales just to help the community map out the area for expansion

Me too, am curently 19kly from Jaques, should reach there sometime next week.

During the 2.2 beta I self destructed my ship, respawned back home and practiced docking to hopefully avoid getting stuck in the letterbox.

Thanks for the encouraging words. If I remember correctly CMDR disorganise was still behind me in beagle point, but since I spent a bit of time findind neutron stars in the galactic plane he may be in colonized space already.

My plan is to help the mining CG in Colonia right now. Having good facilities in the zone is very important IMHO. I wanted to explore the systems surrounding Jauques, but the Distant Starts expedition is calling me

. I will be back there after the expedition and will explore the bubble 2.0.

Edit: The first thing when I get back in the bubble will be to visit the engineers. 38 ly were very nice back in the time, but now they are meh.

And yes, I made to elite!!!
