Often, when moving into a station the lights that indicate where I am supposed to land disappear or take a minute or two to show up. Also I generally come in fast, so I overshoot my pad and have to back up. Having some way to look out the back of the ship would also help in a dog fight giving you some clue which way to turn to get those pesky ants back in your sites.

Yeah, the original elite game had views for both sides and the back, it was so handy and you could purchase weapons for them too.
It also would be useful when fighting the bad guys in asteroid belts with FA off.

A rear view mirror is desperately needed. especially when un-docking, I've had ships smash into the back of me when trying to leave a station because I can't see what's behind me. I'm surprised we don't have one, WW1 biplanes had them, all cars have them. obviously in the high tech future they have lost the ability to produce mirrors, that is my conclusion.
they were all used up to manufacture reflective armour.
Would be handy to have, handy to see exactly where behind you the trigger happy fool is.
