Backer's App still not working

Greetings

I'm directing this mail towards Devs, because I am still having problems loggin into my Backer's App, despite being able to log to Online Store. I've resetted password several times - without success.
However, most of all, I have contacted site owners several times (via option "Contact Us" in Online Store) - there was no respond.

Considering things I've written above, the only option I'm left with is contacting you on the forum, which I'm doing it right now.

Please help me in this matter.

Best regards
Hampius

Have you tried to enter first *three* letters in Backer's app CAPTCHA? I tried 20 times before reading text.

Peteris.

Except that on every other submission form I've ever seen, it's the whole CAPTCHA that's entered, so people are naturally likely to enter the whole CAPTCHA out of habit.
One should read the instructions once in a while, not dive blindly everywhere... :)

One should not be so patronising :)

Human beings are creatures of habit. Establish a routine, and it's our nature to stick to it. I've never, in many years of internet use, encountered a partial captcha before.

Yeah, we're all humans after all.

Good trick that partial captcha though :).

If your users have to read the instructions, you're doing it wrong :p

I read this as a request to add the attribute maxlength=3 to the relevant input. Would take the devs all of 30 seconds, and would fix the problem completely.

Lets be fair, you were defeated by a system designed to outsmart something without the ability to parse meaning from a simple sentence. You deserve a little bit of patronization!

I'll be honest and say it got me the first time too. But then I actually read the page, laughed, said "clever girl" and got over it.

Why are you so angry about it?

And bots would celebrate that :D There's a reason why it's only first three letters. And there's reason why good captchas are made as good stop signs, because it forces to think, and bots aren't well suited for that :D

Its simple an Elite (IQ) test to see if you are eligible to pass the Space pilot flying certificate test :D

No, what actually happened was that a system in common use across the internet was modified in a way that made it counter-intuitive to use. If you see a password entry field, do you stop to check whether it wants your whole password or just the first three letters? Human nature is to respond according to habit.

Who's angry? :S

Not really. This is not password field, this is field to check if you are living human being :) Problem with all captchas that they are very easy to beat with little bit automatisation. In result, there are tons of so called "clever captchas" produced which involves more than reading shown letters and numbers and entering them in required fields. Yeah, they can be annoying if you don't get it first, but considering sensitivity of the data, I am ok with this.
