Coaster Crazy Backup of saved games?

Hi,

I'm having problems with my iPhone and will need to format the device and re-sync all my apps and content from my computer. My question is: Will my saved game be synced or will everything be deleted and require me to do all the missions again (which I will probably refuse to do and just give up on the game)?

Thanks!

you will lose everything, which is why I have not played the game since I got my new ipad. I refuse to go through everything again, when I was 2 challenges away from finishing the game.

I get it that you cannot share saved games across multiple devices (from the FAQ), but not even reload the game on the same device and keep your completed missions? Seems rather basic.

You can save individual Applications to your hard disk, by using an app like iPhone Explorer. That way, once you resync everything back, you can copy your saved games back in the App folders.

I don't know if you're on Windows or Mac. But the app for Mac is called iPhone Explorer. I'm sure there are a 100 odd Windows versions.

Also, if you've used iCloud so far, all your game saves would have been uploaded to iCloud.

dmotlis is partially right. As long as you use the same game center ID you should be able to use something like iExplorer to save your game files to your computer and then copy your saved files over to your device after formating, updating, or even changing device. All that matters is that it is the same game center ID as before.

This isn't a solution we advise formally, because we haven't done a huge amount of testing into it. But according to the programmers there is no reason it shouldn't work.
