I cant believe it. 1st I accidentally got caught smuggling goods by going into a high police level station with goods picked up at a USS (I forgot I had them). 15k fine and loss of trust with the empire

then hrs later after exploring and with 90k in bounty vouchers.......

I forgot to request docking permission. what a school boy error.

broke, lost navigation and the empire no longer trust me, and i have now broken 2 ships.

ohh well....... time for a breather i think.

Sorry not a rant, I love it and would not change a thing (ok well maybe I would but not about that!)

I guess it will happen to us all sooner or later.

Kudos to you for admitting this really is, Elite: Dangerous - and that mistakes can be costly and not a World-of-Warcraft graveyard run with little to no cost of death.

More Kudos for not demanding the game change to suit your mistakes and learning experience.

It can happen to anyone.

I made a similar mistake by taking forbidden goods to Federal space... I got off lucky though with just bad rep.

Yes I have found that errors are very costly. I have made the first 2 mistakes myself too. And I loved the fact that the game wasn't giving me a handout. It felt like an overreaction to kill me for not having permission to dock but I don't think it should change. Everything in the game should feel Elite: Dangerous. Some parts of it though do feel more Elite: Harmless (NPC fighting).

Everyones makes mistakes. I didnt realize the increased penalty for smuggling and let myself get scanned with 8 tons of bad stuff.

Instant 65000 fine. And im alot more aware now.

Its when you dont learn from mistakes is when its bad. XD
