I've noticed that although this camera bug from 1.5 is still present, it also seems that when stationary and looking around, that the world/ship does not appear to be as solid as before, like tracking is off and not as precise. This may be present in the 1.5 Beta, as I only played it for a short period, then didn't return to it again, I'm hoping Horizons doesn't go down the same path. It really is an awful experience right now, plus the bugs with any jump in or out of hyperspace/SC still showing random flashes is there, and is now present when you jump out of SC to Orbital Cruise.
The kicker with this whole 1.5 camera bug, is that once landed on a planet and you are out in the SRV, the bug is no longer present, and so you can be crashing around into things and flipping upside down, yet it feels better overall than just casually flying around in your ship. Hooning in an SRV over rough terrain is less harsh than cruising in your ship, as far as your stomach is concerned.
I'd really like to know if this is happening in the Vive as well. Although there was mention that the bug would be fixed in the next 1.5 patch, it made it into the Horizons Beta and I do wonder how long it will be until it is finally fixed. If Vive came out tomorrow and this bug ends up being released to the main game, Elite would be known as a game that makes you sick, which is a shame as it used to be one of the best VR experiences. I really hope this wasn't a design choice, as it throws all sorts of questions up into the air.
Vive was on my "buy immediately" list due to Elite, but with how VR is for the game atm, I'll be holding off on buying the Vive until I hear from others that all these VR issues are addressed.
